Welcome!

Covenant Presbyterian DTC’s mission is to creatively celebrate the Triune God by cultivating a deeper knowledge and commitment to Christ that connects a vibrant congregation of inclusion and belonging to the wider community with care and compassion.

The guiding force behind the teachings and ministries at Covenant Presbyterian DTC is our understanding of the kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is a common teaching in our Children and Youth Ministries. According to the teachings of Jesus, the kingdom of God is not the pie-in-the-sky place we go when we die. The kingdom of God exists right here and now. It exists wherever we see the reign of God break through in love and compassion.
Our call is to live as citizens of God’s kingdom right here and now, exemplifying God’s love and kindness in all we do. This understanding drives both the ministries of our church and our personal interactions in the world. You will walk out of church every Sunday, motivated to make a difference in the lives of those you encounter. You will see the influence of God’s kingdom in our many ministries that care for others in tangible ways: our weekly food pantry, our rental assistance ministry, the clean water systems we install in Guatemalan villages, and the essentials we proved to the homeless in Denver.

Covenant has over 20,000 square feet of building space. We also house one of the largest food banks in the Denver Tech Center. We rent our space out to many local organizations, such as Wee Preschool, and utilize it for worship every Sunday.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How large is your church?

A: Covenant Presbyterian DTC is a small but vibrant congregation with a wide variety of ages. We average about 100 people here on a Sunday.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Any clothes you may have! Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. Some wear shorts and some wear suits but the decision is totally yours to make.

Q: Does your church support those who are LGBTQIA+?

A: We do! In our faith, and because of our faith, we encourage and love those in the LGBTQIA+ community. We recognize that the "Church" has done plenty of harm and made plenty of mistakes with those who hold those identities. At Covenant you'll find a church accepting  and loving you for who you are and who God has made you to be.

Q: What is there for my kids?

A: We have an active children's and a youth ministry. You can find more information HERE about our Children's Ministry. You can find more information HERE about our Youth Ministry.

Q: Does Covenant particpate in community service?

A: Absolutely! We run a large food bank out of our church known as the Covenant Cupboard. We also run a social service called the Village Resource Center that assists those who are in tough financial spots to help pay rent. The Village Resource Center is a great place to get access to other social services all around Denver so that if they can't help you, they can direct you to someone who can. We also actively collect toiletries and personal items for any homeless person that may grace our doors. For more information about all of these services you can check out our Missions page HERE!

Q: What is the PCUSA?

A: The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a branch of the wider presbyterian church that holds unique beliefs and governance. If you'd like to find out more about the PCUSA including their history, theology, and where they stand on social issues you can visit the PCUSA Website to find out more.

Q: Are women able to be a part of leadership?

A: Yes, in the PCUSA denomination women serve as ordained pastors, elders, and deacons. We support the full equality of all people and  we believe that from listening to the diverse voices and experiences of the members of our congregation, we learn more about the beauty and diversity of God.

Q: Do you have any small groups?

A: At Covenant we have what we like to call "Life Groups." Life Groups consist of young adults and families. Each month we have something for the families of our church and each month we plan a time to gather all of those groups. If you'd like to find out more about our Life Groups click on the link HERE. For those who are over the age of 40 crowd or retired, we have a host of activities to check out HERE!
