Camarin excitedly joins Grace and Covenant with a background in Higher Education, community organizing, and faith-based non-profit work, including religious education for adults and youth. She holds an M.A. and PhD. in History, and has enjoyed teaching courses in History, Theology, Religious Studies, Education, and Gender Studies. Her faith background is in progressive, social-justice-oriented Catholicism, Franciscan theology, and Ignatian spirituality. A native of Arizona, she grew up in Texas, and has lived in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Colorado as an adult. She has served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Arizona and Colorado, among other volunteer roles. In addition to working at Grace, she manages a new mediation practice, coordinates ecumenical spiritual retreats, and curates a site selling her abstract paintings. She is happiest when living and traveling outside the country, but is lucky to now call the southwest Denver metro area home.
